From January to June of 2013 every two weeks a themed chapter derived from our filming at Mission Hill appeared on the internet, and spurred commentary. We could never have imagined nor created the impact of A YEAR AT MISSION HILL without the help of Sam Chaltain (who narrates the series), Ashoka Institute fellow Dennis Powell, and IDEA director Scott Nine. Instead of placing the series exclusively on one website, they encouraged a wide range of groups and individuals involved with education to see it as a cross-internet tool. As a result, resources and ideas popped up all over the web, expanding each chapter exponentially. The resources they collected are housed at the series website. Individual chapters continue to be used by community groups and schools of higher education. Recently the the Albany Park Neighborhood Council (APNC) in Chicago put together three chapters they felt would be useful to their community, and subtitled them in Spanish. We have added that piece at the end of this page.
